Hey, I'm Kim!

I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and trauma coach who specializes in guiding you to gently and compassionately reconnect with your whole self—body, mind, and spirit. With advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), NeuroAffective Touch, and the Biology of Trauma, I don’t just teach techniques—I create a sacred, judgment-free space where transformation becomes possible.

Is this therapy?

No, this is coaching and educational groups. While the work is deeply therapeutic and can lead to profound personal healing, it is not psychotherapy. I am a coach and educator, not a licensed psychotherapist. Coaching focuses on personal development, building skills, and achieving future goals through education and somatic practices. Therapy often focuses more on diagnosis and treating mental health disorders. If you are experiencing a severe mental health crisis, please seek the support of a licensed mental health professional. These offerings are designed for those who are fundamentally stable but feel stuck in old patterns.

I’m new to somatic work and parts work (IFS). Is this for me?

I recommend that you attend a couple of my FREE Tending Together sessions or watch my recordings before joining Befriend Your Story. The group is structured to be accessible. We move at a gentle pace, and I explain concepts clearly. The experiential nature of the work means you learn by doing, in a safe and supported container. If you feel called to explore your inner world with compassion, you are in the right place.

What if I get emotionally triggered during a session?

Your safety is my top priority. In my offerings a core skill we focus on is regulation. I will guide using somatic tools and resources to help you manage activation in real-time. The container is held with care to minimize overwhelm, and the focus is always on your agency and choice. You are always empowered to participate at a level that feels safe for you.

You will need a stable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone (to foster a connected environment), and a private, quiet space where you won’t be interrupted for the duration of the session.
